I bought my Casio Men’s PAW1500-1V Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Barometer, Altimeter and Compass Watch because I am very inclined to fishing. Casio pathfinder has the ability to determine tidal movements with its tidal graph. It is like a heaven sent for boaters, fishers like me or hunters in general because of this feature and needless to say, it really performs the said function.
Other awesome feature is the barometer, compass, altimeter and thermometer. It also helps me in my fishing because I can predict weather easily with the barometer. The thermometer takes on the temperature of my skin, I guess, because it was not the same with the forecasted temperature in the news. The compass works fine giving angle values. I was wearing once this watch when I was on a flight to San Diego and I was amazed on how the altimeter works precisely. However, it needs regular calibration just like other equipment.
The display of Casio Pathfinder is somehow big but its size enables one to read what the watch says easily. There is no more hassle button pressing for this watch. With just a flick of my arm, I can already read the time in my Casio Men’s PAW1500-1V Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Barometer, Altimeter and Compass Watch because it has an automatic light capability. I do not have to press any button in total darkness with the fear that I may press the settings button rather than the light button.
The only thing I can find fault in this watch is that it has so many batteries! Yes, it is solar powered they say. Casio was not good in keeping words when they said that you do not have to worry for changing the batteries where in fact there are too many batteries to be worried about. There are actually four batteries to worry about and due to much technological advancement of this solar powered watch, your local watch repair service might not be able to fix it.
Casio Men’s PAW1500-1V Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Barometer, Altimeter and Compass Watch is both heavy in features and physically. It has a compass, barometer, tide graph, altimeter and thermometer in an intimidating size and all these features are jam packed in a quite heavy weight. But buying this all-in-one watch would be better than having all said features in separate equipment. Over all, the size and weight would not matter because of all the features included in one package and not to mention the savings one can get in this Casio Men’s PAW1500-1V Pathfinder Multi-Band Solar Atomic Barometer, Altimeter and Compass Watch.
